White Water Rafting, Kicking Horse
I had my first Rocky Mountain river rafting experience this summer. I joined some of my coworkers for a trip along the Columbia River - a "team building" excursion, paid for by my employer. It was a blast. It was also VERY COLD! We were fully encased in 6 mm wetsuits other than our heads and hands. They did provide gloves for people that wanted them - I should have taken some. The water was 7 Celcius.
There had been a lot of rain and the river was so high. It's still high. And fast. Some say the high water makes the rafting better. Others disagree, saying that many of the features are flooded and less interesting. I don't know... I've only been rafting once before and I thought this trip was pretty tame, other than the freezing temperatures.
